Free NFL Picks 11/16/2008
November 16, 2008
Sunday the name of the game is football with a monster week in the NFL. Let’s find out what our hottest NFL handicappers have posted as their free picks today.
First up is Dave Price, who continues to dominate the ranks in both college football and the NFL! Here’s Dave’s free pick for Sunday:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Indianapolis Colts -8
The Texans are 0-4 on the road this season and also 0-3 in division games. Since a slow start, the Colts are now 5-4 and have won back-to-back games over the Pats and the Steelers. After coming very close to an earlier season loss at Houston before rallying late to win, you can expect the Colts to buckle down and end this one early. Indy has won 12 of the last 13 meetings and is a perfect 6-0 at home against Houston during that span. The Texans are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 1-11 ATS in road games after playing a game at home over the last 3 seasons. Lay the points.
Our second biggest free pick gomes from Alex Grosse. Alex is off to a hot start ever since joining our team and he’s looking to build his bankroll and yours during the rest of the season. Here’s his free play of the day:
This is a matchup featuring two teams that put up a lot of points on the board and allow a lot of points to the opposition. The Saints are averaging 26.2 points per game, ranking 8th in the NFL. Drew Brees is on fire already throwing 17 touchdowns and leading the league with 2985 yards. The Chiefs are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, allowing an average of 27 points per game and 406.2 yards to the opposition.
The Chiefs offense has been a lot more productive as of late. Tyler Thigpen has been playing better every game. Kansas City is averaging only 16.1 points per game but scored an average of 24.67 points over its last three. Thigpen threw 7 touchdowns for 710 yards down that stretch. Additionally, running back Larry Johnson will be back in the mix. He has been averaging 4.5 yards per carry. The Chiefs will put up big numbers against New Orleans’ weak defense. The Saints are allowing an average of 348 yards and 25.4 points per game ranking 24th in the league in each category. They are even worse on the road allowing an average of 31.75 points to the opposition.
The trends indicate that this will be a high scoring game. Over is 8-2 in K.C.’s last 10 home games and 4-1 in its last 5 home games against a team with a losing record. Additionally, over is 11-2-1 in New Orleans’ last 14 games overall and 7-1 in its last 8 against a team with a losing record.
Expect this to be an exciting back and forth game with a lot of offense. The total is high but the way that these two teams play, it is quite likely that they will break it.
Third on our list is Jay Todd. Jay continues to impress in every sport he handicaps and the NFL is no excpetion. This week he’s ready to score some major winners in his premium package, and here’s his free pick for this Sunday:
The Broncos are coming a big come from behind victory of Cleveland and are still in the playoff hunt. Denver has a high scoring offense that can move the football against any team in the NFL. If you look at the Falcons schedule they really have not beat any solid teams (playoff-caliber) by this margin. Expect the same result against Denver.
Jay Cutler faces an Atlanta defense that has struggled against the pass. They allow 228 yards per game, but against pass-happy teams they have shown some weakness. Cutler has thrown for 2,616 yards and 18 touchdowns already this season. Denver is going to throw all day, as they attempt 38.4 passes a game. Their high potent offense will be able to keep them in this game.
Denver will look to make it two in the row. This game has the making to be a shootout, so expect it to be within a touchdown. Play Denver +6.5 over Atlanta.
Good Luck!

Saturday college football is the big draw, so let’s jump right into the free picks from our top college football handicappers!
First up is Dave Price. Dave has won 5 of his last 6 NCAA football picks and is 10-2 on his overall football plays his last 12! Ride his hot streak this weekend! Dave’s free pick is on Louisiana Tech, here’s the info on the play:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Louisiana Tech -13
The lowly Aggies will be a long way from home this Saturday and that likely means more doom and gloom as they are 0-5 on the road this season while Louisiana Tech is 4-0 at home. Tech has beat the Aggies by double digits in each of the past two seasons and comes into this year’s matchup with lots of momentum, having won back-to-back games over Fresno State and San Diego State. Utah State is 4-17 ATS after a loss by 28 or more points since 1992 and only 1-15 ATS off a road blowout loss by 28 points or more since 1992. Take Tech.
Next up is a Doc’s Sports, one of the most well-know cappers in the industry! Here’s his free pick for Saturday!
Free Play from Doc’s Sports. #67 Take BYU over Air Force (Saturday 3:30 pm CBS College Sports) The Cougars still have a fighting chance to capture the MWC and cannot afford a slip-up in this game against the Falcons. Bronco Mendenhall has never lost to the Falcons (3-0) and easily won the game in 2007, 31-6. In fact, his average margin of victory over Air Force is 22 points. BYU will stop the run and make Air Force beat them over the top and that is something that they are just not capable of doing. We will lay the field goal and easily collect with the visitor behind Max Hall and company. Doc’s Sports Revenge Game of the Year goes Saturday, sign-up for this selection along with a full card.
John Martin has been DESTROYING the sportsbooks all season long. His free play today is on Nevada. Here’s the analysis behind the pick:
Martin’s Saturday NCAA Football Free Play:
1 Unit on Nevada -14.5
Nevada’s running game is one that not too many folks know about. But I would put their rushing attack up against any other team in the country. Nevada is scoring 38.2 points/game, which is largely attributed to their running game where the Wolf Pack are averaging 324 rushing yards/game on the season. You would think this team would be one-dimensional with those rushing numbers, but that’s simply not the case. Nevada is also throwing for 200 passing yards/game this season for an average of 524.1 totals yards of offense/game. Nevada catches a struggling San Jose State team at home Saturday. The Spartans have played poorly in each of their last 3 games, losing badly to Boise State, narrowly escaping a terrible Idaho team 30-24 the following week, and then getting crushed at home by Louisiana Tech 21-0 last week. San Jose State cannot throw the ball, which makes the Spartans an easy team to stop. San Jose State has thrown for 118 yards or less in 3 of their last 4 games overall. The Spartans were held to just 30 yards rushing last week on 28 carries. SJSU is down for the count, while Nevada is flourishing right now. Nevada posted 472 rushing yards on Fresno State last week, and SJSU is not about to slow this offense down Saturday. Once Nevada jumps on the Spartans early, they will be able to increase their lead with the best rushing attack in the country coupled with the fact that San Jose State cannot throw the ball, thus they cannot play from behind. Cash in with Nevada as the favorite.

Today we’ll take a look at what our hottest cappers have going in all of the major sports tonight. The college basketball season truly tips off tonight with tons of teams playing their openers. There’s also plenty to choose from in the NBA, plus a good game in college football with Louisville taking on Cincinnati.
To start things off we’ll start with our hottest overall capper, Jeff Alexander. Tonight Jeff has one of his patented Wiseguy plays going in college basketball. He’s already 1-0 in the young college hoops season with an easy winer on Michigan Wednesday. He’s found another potential blowout tonight as he uses a time-tested 89% system! As always, his play tonight is guaranteed or tomorrow’s pacakage is free!
Coming up just behind Jeff is an up-and-coming handicapper in Jay Todd. Jay has gotten off to an incredible start to the NBA season and is quickly climbing up the leaderboards in all major sports. Tonight he’s selling all of his picks for the night in one monster winning package.
Rocky Atkinson is known in the industry as “The Rocketman”. Last year he hit an incredible 67% in college basketball and is ready to start his season off right with a 3* selection for his premium members.
Ben Burns DOMINATED the Big East last year & he’s continued to fare EXTREMELY WELL in that conference again in ‘08. You’ll recall his DOUBLE-DIGIT WIN from the Cincy/USF clash. Did you know he’s also CASHED 75% of his plays on/against Louisville? Ben won when these teams met last year and he plans on doing so again tonight! Ben’s premium play on the game is just $20.00. Get it now!
Doc’s Sports is one of the most well-known and respected handicappers online today. Tonight the doctor is in with his ESPN2 winner on Louisville/Cincinnati!
If you are looking for action in the NBA tonight, look no further than Vernon Croy! Vernon has his 20 Unit NBA SLAM DUNK OF THE MONTH tonight on the Pistons/Lakers game!!!
Maybe the best bet of the night comes from Jack Jones. Jack has a 25* Best bet going on tonight’ college football game as his one and only Big East game of the year! Jack is locked and loaded on this Cincinnati/Louisville matchup for Friday night. This 25* BEST BET is his Friday Night Big East Game of the Year and you are not going to want to miss out on this bankroll builder before the weekend hits. This game comes GUARANTEED TO WIN or else tomorrow’s card is on the house!
That’s all for today. Good luck!

Today’s free sports picks cover the NFL, College Football, and the NBA! There’s lots of action to look forward to. If you like what one of our cappers has to say, be sure to check out his premium page to see what kind of winners he can offer you tonight, and throughout the week. Now is a great time to get started with all of the basketball and football you can handle!
Our first free pick is from Bob Harvey on the New England/New York Jets game tonight. Bob is hitting at a 60% clip in the NBA already and has won 3 of his last 4 NFL selections. Bob’s free play tonight is on the total for the game, here’s what he has to say:
Before you start calling this the AFC East “Game of the Year” ,please step away from your remote control and remain calm at all times. Keep in mind that while these two teams are tied atop their division, they’ve also played some pretty week competition to get there. The Jets are currently the only team in the league, in a playoff posistion, that the Patriots. NY has played just two playoff worthy teams, the Pats and the Arizona Cardinals. The Pats haven’t played Oakland or Cincinnati, but they did get to feast on San Francisco. The Jets are the bigger mirage. They have looked good going 4-1 over their last five, but the teams they have played over that stretch are 11-34, and five of those 11 wins belong to Buffalo. Injuries could well determine the outcome of this game. The Patriots injury list keeps growing with linebacker Adalius Thomas for joining back Laurence Maroney, Rodney Harrison,Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren, and Stephen Neal. New England is especially thin at running back. After Maroney went down, the responsibility fell to LaMont Jordan. A calf injury to Jordan landed Sammy Morris the gig, but after Morris hurt his knee. Now the Pats are relying on BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Who? My take is the Patrots will try to get it done on defense while Eric Mangini and is conservative playing will help keep the score down. The UNDER is the play in this one.
Next up we’ve got Dave Price, who is +473 units over the past 7 days. Here is his NBA free pick of the day for Thursday:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Dallas Mavericks pk
Both the Bulls and the Mavs are struggling in the early going but I like the veteran Mavs to continue their dominance of the young Bulls tonight. Dallas is 8-3 SU and 9-2 ATS over the last 11 meetings at Chicago and 18-5 SU over the last 23 meetings with the Bulls. Now that’s owning a team! The Road team is also 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The Bulls are just 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. the NBA Southwest and 1-7 ATS in their last 8 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Take the Mavs tonight.
That’s it for today! Good luck!

Two games on the docket in college football for Wednesday night with Kent State hosting Temple and Central Michigan visiting Northern Illinois. There are a ton of NBA games on tap as well with some great match ups including the Lakers at the Hornets. Here’s a look at some free picks from our top handicappers and some promos for their best picks of the night.
We’ll start off with tonight’s featured college football picks.
Doc’s Sports has 37 years in the handicapping industry and tonight the doctor has you covered on with an ESPN game winner. Sign-up for this easy college football winner and let Doc build your bankroll before the weekend starts.
Matt Fargo is coming off a wire-to-wire win with Miami last night! He is having an NCAA season many can only dream about as his FULL SEASON record is 61-35-8 ATS (63.5%)! He keeps it going on Wednesday as he has a MAC BEST BET that only adds to the profits! His Tuesday-Friday plays are 19-8-3 ATS (70.4%) and extended here with an easy win! Do not be on the sidelines again!
Ben Burns had one of his best NCAA football seasons ever in ‘07 & he’s enjoying another FANTASTIC college football campaign in ‘08. Ben has already begun the week by going 2-0 on the gridiron, delivering winners with San Fran on Monday and Miami on Tuesday. BANK on “more of the same” with Wednesday’s BEST BET. Its an ABSOLUTE BLOCKBUSTER!
Now for a look at what’s going on tonight from our cappers in the NBA:
Jay Todd is atop the NBA handicapping world and will continue to pull away from competitors tonight! This package includes nine games and is GUARANTEED-TO-PROFIT!
Mr. East is burning up the NBA hardwood, and has his play of the day going in NBA action tonight.
Today’s featured free pick comes in the NBA from Dave Price, here’s what Dave had to say about the Pacers/Nets game tonight:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Indiana Pacers -1.5
Indiana put an 18-point pounding on the Nets when they visited the Pacers on November 8th and I like the Pacers to prevail with another comfortable win because of its deadly three-point shooting. New Jersye is 11-23 ATS versus teams who attempt 18 or more 3 point shots/game on the season over the last 2 seasons and 14-28 ATS versus teams who make 6 or more 3 point shots/game on the season over the last 2 seasons. The Nets are also just 5-15 ATS in home games first half of the season over the last 2 seasons. The Nets have lost 4 of their last 5 and will have to take another setback tonight.
That’s it for today, good luck!!!
Free Sports Picks for 11/11/2008

Tuesday’s free pick comes from Jimmy Boyd. Jimmy has been red hot in basketball to start the season, winning 5 of his last 6 picks in hoops overall! Tonight Jimmy goes with his 5* NBA Underdog of the Month with the strongest play in the NBA today! Tuesday’s package includes plays in College Football, College Basketball and the NBA! You can’t miss with this 3-for-1 deal!
For starters, Jimmy has tonight’s Ball State/Miami Ohio game on ESPN2. Jimmy Boyd kicked off Week 11 NCAAF action by cashing in his MAC Game of the Year on Buffalo and he’s ready to get off to a fast start in Week 12 action by cashing in another Big MAC side! Is Ball State deserving of this much chalk on the road or are odds makers planting a trap? Jimmy Boyd sorts out the details for you in his game analysis where he cites the 13-0 ATS Trend that has his BETTING WITH CONFIDENCE! 100% Guaranteed to hit or Wednesday’s action is free!
Mr. Boyd’s free pick today is on the Chicago Bulls -3 at home against the Atlanta Hawks. Here’s what he has to say about the game:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Chicago Bulls -3
I like the Hawks to go down for the first time this season tonight in a building where they have lost 7 straight. The Bulls are a solid 3-1 at home this season. They will be without experienced guard Kirk Hinrich tonight, but Chicago has much better backcourt depth than in year’s past with the drafting of point guard Derrick Rose and won’t miss a beat at home. The road could be another story however without Hinrich. The Hawks are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Chicago and 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings overall. The Favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The Bulls are 21-6 ATS in their last 27 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Lay the number tonight.
You didn’t miss out on Jimmy’s NBA play last night did you? It was an easy winner on the Portland Trailblazers over the Orlando Magic. Here is what you missed out on!
3* SMASH on Trail Blazers +7
Off back-to-back wins, I like the Blazers to take their momentum on the road tonight. Portland is 16-6 ATS after 2 or more consecutive wins over the last 2 seasons, winning these games by an average score of 99.3 to 95.4. Portland is yet to get its first road win of the season in 3 tries so I expect the Blazers to really buckle down on the hardwood tonight. The Trail Blazers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning SU record while the Magic are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. Take the points tonight.
That’s all we’ve got for today, good luck and be sure to check out Jimmy Boyd this week for his free picks and premium packages.

Monday Night Football goes TONIGHT with the red hot Arizona Cardinals hosting the San Francisco 49ers! A lot of experts think this could be a dangerous spot for Arizona if they underestimate the Niners. All of our top NFL handicappers have the side on tonight’s game, the total, or both. Let’s get right down to it and see what we’ve got going on tonight:
Steve Janus has been at or near the top of the NFL leaderboard all season long and is 7 out of his last 10 in overall football picks. For Monday night Steve has the easiest Monday night football winner of the year as he gives you his side on the 49ers/Cardinals tonight!
Next up we’ve got James Carpenter who, is currently one of the hottest in the NFL. 4-1 this Sunday and 3-0 last Sunday plus a big win last Monday night. Tonight he’s got what he is calling an easy win on Monday night football!
“The Rocketman” Rocky Atkinson has a TOP 4* NFL play for Monday! Rocketman suffered an 0-2 NFL day on Sunday but is looking to bounce back Monday. Rocketman is documented 60% in the NFL this year and 84-58 59% the past 3 years with all NFL premium picks! Now that is getting the job done! Be sure to jump on Rocky’s back tonight and ride his sure-fire winner!
Ever since joining our winning team Mr. East has made been an immediate success. Tonight Mr. East has his NFL PLAY of the day going which is a 4**** SPECIAL!
John Martin is currently ranked #1 overall in all sports combined! Here is what John has to say about his big game tonght:
Get John’s NFL Top Play on ESPN’s Monday Night Football GUARANTEED: 8:30 EST on ESPN - 5 Unit NFC West TOTAL OF THE YEAR! (I have tagged my best O/U play in the NFC West conference for 2008 Monday! The 49ers/Cardinals Clash will either be a defensive battle or a shootout! Will this be similar to the 23-13 Cardinals’ win earlier this season? You will have no doubts in my response once you see the PERFECT 100% Totals System in my analysis upon purchase!)
With all of the excitement around the Monday Night game, be sure you don’t miss out on all of the NBA action going tonight as well! Jack Jones has an NBA blowout game going tonight! Here’s Jack’s free NBA Pick:
Even though the Grizzlies lost by 10 to the Nuggets yesterday, I’m going to back them here tonight against the Suns as they close out their road trip here against Phoenix. Rookie OJ Mayo really came into his own last night with 31 points and eight rebounds. The Grizzlies have alternated wins and losses through their first seven games of the season, and while I don’t see them doing that here tonight, I do think they keep it close against the Suns. A big reason for that is that this team is playing defense, holding opponents to under 42% from the field. While Memphis hasn’t been able to score very many points of their own, with the Suns weak defense out there this shouldn’t be a problem tonight. Nice system here backs us up: play on road underdogs who are playing their second road game in two days, after compiling a losing record a year ago. 26-9 (74.3%) over the last five seasons. Predicted Score: Phoenix 102, Memphis 95
Good Luck!
Free Sports Picks for 11/8/2008
November 8, 2008
Welcome to the weekend everyone! Today we’re looking at two of our top college football handicapper’s free picks of the day! There’s so much going on in college football today and so many big games to choose from, you’re going to want to get behind a handicapper that has consistently made money all season long.
First up we’ve got Jeff Alexander. Mr. Alexander is on an 8-game winning streak on his 4* Major and 5* Wiseguy plays in college football! Today he has a 5* Wiseguy play on the biggest Mismatch of the year! Jeff also has a free play on the Wake Forest/Virginia game today and here is what he had to say:
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Wake Forest -3.5
Miami put an end to Virginia’s 4-game winning streak last week and that opens the door for Wake Forest to take the Cavs down again at home this week. Virginia edged out Wake by one point last season and the Demon Deacons will be out for revenge. Virginia has not played well on the road this season, scoring only 12.3 ppg while giving up 31. Virginia is just 5-16 ATS in road games after covering the spread in 3 out of their last 4 games since 1992 and 10-23 ATS in road games vs. good passing teams with a completion pct. of 58% or better since 1992. Lay the points with Wake Forest at home.
Next we’ll see what Matt Fargo has on tap for today. Fargo is hitting an amazing 56-32 clip in College Football! He’s also on Wake Forest, but has a slightly different take:
The ACC remains completely up for grabs as both the Atlantic and Coastal Divisions are still wide open. In the Atlantic, surprising Maryland has the lead but it is by only a half-game over Wake Forest and Florida St. The Demon Deacons lost to the Terrapins so they are at the wrong end of the tiebreaker meaning they need to finish with a better record to make a trip to the ACC Championship. Wake Forest put up a couple lame efforts on the road and an overtime home win over Duke should provide some momentum.
Virginia is also another surprise in the ACC as it is a half-game behind Georgia Tech in the Coastal but it does own the tiebreaker as it has already defeated the Yellow Jackets. The Cavaliers thought they had their game won against Miami on Saturday but the hurricanes scored a late touchdown in regulation and then were able to recover a fumble in overtime to secure the win. Virginia was outgained by 137 yards in that game and now heads out on the road for just its second road game in six weeks.
Wake Forest has a big advantage at the line of scrimmage and that is going to be the difference here. The Virginia rushing offense started extremely slow, picked up some steam and has started struggling again. The Cavaliers are 107th in the country in rushing offense, averaging just 103.2 ypg. Over their last three games, they are averaging only 85 ypg which happens to be just four yards less per game than they have averaged on the road this season.
The Demon Deacons rushing defense has been strong this season, allowing 125.4 ypg which is good for 47th in the nation. They have allowed more than 145 yards only once this season and that came against Navy which is no surprise. Take that pout and the average drops to 101.6 ypg. On the season, Wake Forest is allowing 3.6 ypc which is a truer indication of the success it has had. The total defense is ranked 34 in the nation so there is not a lot of room for Virginia to succeed.
Wake Forest has some success on offense running the ball but it has been far from what was expected. The Deacons have gone against some excellent rushing defenses this season and Virginia will not be included in that category. The Cavaliers are 76th in the nation in rushing defense and the average balloons on the road as they are allowing 207.3 ypg on 4.7 ypc in their three road games. Wake Forest is 9-2 ATS in its last 11 games following an ATS loss so we can expect another big bounceback here. 3* Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Fargo is coming off a spectacular week in college football including his NCAA Game of the Year that took place in the ACC with Miami! NCAAF is 54-31-8 ATS (63.5%) YTD! He shifts his sights to the Big East this week with his GAME OF THE YEAR as it is his STRONGEST report in the Big East this year so you do not want to miss out on it! We keep the spectacular season going!
GOOD LUCK SATURDAY!!!
NBA Odds for 11-7-2008
November 7, 2008
Here are Friday’s NBA odds. There are a few games to keep an eye on. The first is Detroit at New Jersey. The Nets are getting 7.5 points at home against a Detroit team that is in the middle of a difficult stretch of games. You’ve also got the San Antonio Spurs at just 6 point favorites at home. Sure, the Spurs got off to a slow start to this season, but are the Heat that much better than they were last year? One of the best match ups of the day has to be Denver hosting Dallas. Both teams are playoff contenders and the game is basically a pick ‘em situation. We’re also looking at Houston, who is a 6 point favorite on the road at the Clippers. Every year there are promises that the Clippers are improved and on their way to better things. The only problem is that it never happens! The Rockets are still a solid team with some talented playmakers. The last game we’ll look at is the Suns playing at Chicago against the Bulls. The Bulls got a pep-talk this week from former college football coach and now-ESPN college football analyst, Lou Holtz. I’m not really sure what the coach could have said to the Bulls, but it will be interesting to see how they react anyway. That’s all for today, good luck with your games tonight!!!

Now for Jimmy Boyd’s free opinion on tonight’s Maryland/VA Tech game:

After back-to-back road losses, I like the Hokies to get jacked up for first place Maryland tonight and to pick up a big win against the Terps. This will be a huge test for the Terps who are 0-3 SU and ATS and have been outscored by over 31 ppg vs. Virginia Tech. Maryland has also struggled mightily on the road this season, getting blown out 31-0 by Virginia and losing by 10 at Middle Tennessee State. You have to like the Hokies in the Thursday night prime time spotlight as they are 12-3 ATS on Thursday nights the last 10 seasons while Maryland is just 1-6 SU and ATS in their last 7 on the same day. Maryland is just 10-22 ATS in road games versus good rushing defenses - allowing <=120 rushing yards/game since 1992, losing these games by 14.5 ppg on average. Lay the points.
GOOD LUCK TODAY!!!
