PICKS IN PROGRESS
These two teams just played on Monday. The Bucks entered that matchup on a three-game winning streak and were leading the Magic at halftime.
But Orlando put together a strong third quarter and easily won, 118-99.
I like the Bucks in this short revenge spot to make the necessary adjustments and keep this game close.
Yes, Milwaukee is way down minus injured Giannis Antetokounmpo. But this is far from a great Orlando team. The Magic are 21-31 (40%) ATS and rank 18th offensively and 14th defensively.
Perhaps the Knicks got caught looking ahead to this game when they lost as a 12-point home favorite to the Pacers Tuesday night.
Whatever. I just want New York going for me today off that embarrassing loss.
The Knicks are still 9-2 SU and ATS in their last 11 games. This is their final game before the All-Star break. They will have eight days before they play again.
The Knicks are better than the 76ers. They will suck it up and be ready for this game.
Philadelphia is not in a good situational spot either returning home after five consecutive West Coast games. The 76ers didn't conclude their road swing until this past Monday night in Portland when they lost to the Trail Blazers by 17 points.
Not only do the Celtics rank second defensively holding opponents to an average of 108.4 points a game while ranking third in defensive field goal percentage, but they are the slowest paced team in the NBA.
The result is the Celtics have gone Under in 64 percent of their games this season. This Under run has been very prevalent lately with Boston going below the total in 14 of its last 16 games, including nine of the last 10.
The Celtics aren't going to lack defensive motivation against the Bulls in this revenge spot. Chicago upset Boston, 114-111, as 3.5-point home underdogs on Jan. 25. The Celtics also are off an embarrassing national television loss to the Knicks, 111-89, this past Sunday.
The Bulls remain without their injured scoring and assists leader, Josh Giddey. The Bulls have looked lost without getting Giddey, who is out with a hamstring injury. Chicago has dropped five in a row, averaging 109.6 points a game during this span.
