Chicago White Sox at St. Louis 7:30 ERT

White Sox over Cardinals - Man I hate chasing a losing and right now the White Sox have hit he skid having lost their last four. Making matter worse for Chicago is the St. Louis swept them 3-0 last season and have now defeated them four straight. The Black Sox have scored just eight runs in their four losses ans will give Sean Newcomb (2-4, 271 ERA) his fifth start and 54th appearance. The Red Birds will send out Kyle Leahy (10-4, 3.41) who was knocked around by Colorado for six hits and five runs in 2.2 innings on Sunday. Breaking a pait fo streaks…take WHITE SOX!

Houston at Tampa Bay 2:10 ET

Astros over Rays - What am I afraid of it’s just a game…well it is a game I want to win but playing ‘against’ Tampa Bay can be very frustrating. You really have to pick you spots and be care when you do. Sunday, Houston starts Pete Lambert (8-8, 3.67 ERA) who looks at time that he has come into his own at 29 with 130 K’s in 138 innings surrendering just 116 hits. For the Rays who still own he best home record in MLB it will be Ian Seymour (9-6, 4.33) who has gone sour losing his last three starts while his mates have lost his last five starts overall. Take HOUSTON!

Pittsburgh at Chicago Cubs 2:20 ET

Pirates over Cubs- I know that he is not the same, Pittsburgh starter Paul Skenes (10-11, 3.83 ERA) is nowhere near his peak of the past couple of seasons and even of late he has just 10 strikeouts in 16 innings and yet has an ERA of 2.81. He has lost something off of his heater and has not had the pin point control of the past but still  maintains an exceptional degree of skill. For Chicago Clay Homles (2-3, 3.51 w/Cubs) )is making his seventh start since coming over from the NY Mets and he hasn’t settled in yet. Take PITTSBURGH!

South Florida at Army 12:00 ET

Bulls (+) over Black Knights - I love the Army and actually spent three years in uniform and always look to play on them whenever the opportunity presents itself. But, there are time like this Saturday when they are just too good to take. Remember, the bookie is not your friend! The Amy ran roughshod over Bryant College gaining 569 yards on the ground averaging 10 yards a carry, while surrendering just 67. South Florida had a battle with Florida International 19-9 gaining just 208 total yards on offense with only 100 yards on the round. When you see those numbers one would expect the Black Knights to be at least double-digit favorites. But the bookmakers do not agree. I will follow their lead. Take SOUTH FLORIDA!

Alabama at Kentucky 3:30 ET

Wildcats (+) over Crimson Tide - Alabama is trying to regain its national prominence and with a rousing 48-10 victory over East Carolina. The Crimson Tide ran for 227 yards and scored five touchdowns against the Pirates. They will be better tested this week in their first road game of the season at Kentucky. The Wildcats, romped over FCS opponent Youngstown State 45-13 where they ran for over 200 yards themselves. The Crimson Tide have been more like a ‘Title-wave’ against Kentucky as they have won eight straight and are 39-2-1 all-time. But, the Cats have Notre Dame transfer Kenny Minchey at QB and he threw for 301 yards in their opener. ‘Bama just 6-5 SU on the road in coach DeBoer’s first two seasons. Take KENTUCKY!

UNLV at North Texas 3:45 ET

Mean Green (+) over Running Rebels - I a huge regression out of UNLV this season after a five year upswing. To start with the have a great back in Jai’Den ‘Jet’ Thomas and he can score from just about from anywhere on the field. The issue for the Runnin’ Rebels is that they will not be known as the Passin’ Rebels because their quarterback in lacking big time. North Texas opened the season against the defending National Champion Indiana Hoosiers and although out manned they manged to put up four scores in their 52-16 loss covering the 40.5-point spread. Hey, the Mean Green actually had more first downs 19-18 than Indiana! Take NORTH TEXAS!

Tennessee at Georgia Tech 7:00 ET

Yellow Jackets (+) over Volunteers - This is sort of a mandatory play for me having used against Colorado over Georgia Tech as my Highest-rated Megabucks winner in their opener. The Yellow Jackets return home from Dublin to host national power Tennessee. The Volunteers were a 49.5-point favorite and defeated Furman 56-9 in week one and like the Yellow Jackets are 0-1 ATS. With the Engineers at home and Vols peeking toward Texas at home coming up. Take GEORGIA TECH!

Chip’s ‘Big Game’ Power Play winner

Ohio State at Texas 7:30 ET

Longhorns (+) over Buckeyes/- I to have a side in this one so badly and yet I can not see any advantage with either side and I truly believe the book maker has this one correct at a virtual pick’em affair. If I was to play a side I would have to wait until the final number is posted and then make my play one way or another. The one thing I do side with between these two national powers is the UNDER. Ohio State has won and covered the three meetings between these two including last year’s (A-Play Megabucks winner) the Buckeyes (-1.5, 14-7). But all four of their meetings going back to 2006 have gone UNDER! Defenses will rule despite of the big name quarterbacks in this encounter. Play TEXAS!

Chip’s Early-bird Bankroll Builder

Oklahoma at Michigan 12:00 ET

Wolverines (+) over Sooners- OMG…really…OMG. Can the Wolverines actually be that bad, and the answer is yes, they are that bad. The question is they have enough to rebound from a terrible performance. It isn’t just that if took a bogus call to save their hides against Western Michigan a 28.5-point underdog with their 13-12. Oklahoma meanwhile was shutting out El-Paso 51-0 and after they view the film of Michigan’s offense, they believe that they can shut this team out as well. When I saw the Wolves come out of the tunnel and seemed more concerned with getting the crowd into it, then they were concerned with their opposition. My thoughts were this team is jumping around too much pregame celebration and Underwood was sort of clownish much like his play. This is the biggest game of the year for Michigan do not even think of the Ohio State meeting in November because if they do not show up here, that game will be of no consequence. Take as many points as you can with MICHIGAN
