The Sabres have stayed under in 4 of the last 6 and are likely looking at a stronger defensive effort from Montreal tonight. The Canadiens are on a 6-1 under run. The Friday SERIE A comp play is on Torino. Game 201242 at 2:45 eastern. Torino has a strong home field and are unbeaten here in the last 4. Torino will be motivated coming off a 2-0 loss to Udinese in their last match. Calcio is off an impressive 2-0 win over AC Milan but has struggled on the road. Both teams are similarly ranked in the table at 10th and 13th and while this appears to be a tight lower scoring game. We will side with the home team to eke out a win and bag the three points. The NBA Round 2 western Conf. play is on the Spurs. Game 573 at 9:30 eastern. The Spurs responded with a big effort in game 2 after a lack luster game one where they were listless and still had a chance to win. Now they take the momentum into Minnesota  knowing Round 2 game three road favorites of 5.5 or less are perfect to the spread if they have less than 3 days rest and are off a home favored win and a prior home favored loss. These teams win by 13 points per game as an average 2.5 point favorite., so we have a nice 10 point Z- Factor indicator in effect. There is actually a double Z-factor here as playoff game 3 road favorites off a home favored win by 30 or more are 7-0 straight up and to the spread if the total is less than 232. These teams were on average 4 point favorites and win by an average 14 points. The Spurs have not won here over the last 2 years so they will be focused, and while many will expect a Bounce back by the Wolves we will go with the Advanced Data and play on San Antonio.

The WNBA opening night Power System Play. Game 605 at 10:00 eastern. Golden St had a solid inaugural season making the playoffs and now they look to build on to that. They have a major addition in Gabby Williams and while they lost some depth in Free Agency they take on a Seattle team in a big rebuild situation this season as they lose ALL 5 of their leading scorers from last season in Free Agency. The Storm has failed to cover 10 of at 11 home and will also be without their starting center tonight. Golden St has won and covered the last 4 as a road favorite and won  their lone pre season game against Seattle by 2 and that was without G. Williams.
