It’s been three series since the Texas Rangers have won consecutive games in the same series. I believe that ends today in the series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks. It’s a crucial game as Texas is closing the distance on current division leader in the Houston Astros, and the Diamondbacks continue to battle with the Padres for the final NL Wild card spot. As great as Eduardo Rodriguez season has been this is a pressure start, as a loss could move the Dbacks 2.5 games back of the final Wild Card spot. Take the Rangers.
The Cleveland Browns made the questionable decision to start the year with DeShaun Watson as the starting quarterback. The caliber of quarterback we saw years ago with Houston is no more, as he has made just thirteen starts over the prior three seasons. Ironically his only win as a starter since 2024 was on the road at Jacksonville, in an 18 to 13 win. Not calling for an outright win but Jacksonville has had issues scoring in the second half of week one games the prior two seasons. They blew a ten point halftime lead to Miami, where they were shutout in the second half, and last season scored just six second half points against Carolina. Playing the big number here on the Browns side.
