We'll grab all the points we can get with Arkansas-Little Rock on Thursday as it looks to avenge an earlier loss to Tennessee State. While the Tigers do own the better overall record in this matchup this season, the visiting Trojans have faced the more difficult schedule by most metrics. Arkansas-Little Rock has had a week to stew over last Thursday's 70-65 loss to Southeast Missouri State, snapping its four-game winning streak. The Trojans have still connected on 25 or more field goals in eight of their last nine contests while holding three of their last five opponents to 25 or fewer made field goals. Tennessee State on the other hand has yielded 25 or more made field goals against five straight and eight of its last nine opponents. The Tigers have had four full days to pat themselves on the back following a 10-point win over Lindenwood that saw them connect on a ridiculous 41-of-68 field goal attempts. Expect some regression here. Take Arkansas-Little Rock.

I like the spot for UC-Irvine tonight.  The Anteaters are tied with Hawaii atop the Big West standings at 7-2.  One of those losses came at Hawaii 67-66 as 4.5-point dogs in their first meeting this season on January 10th.  They will be out for revenge from that defeat.

That was a brutal spot for the Anteaters with just one day off in between games and having to travel to Hawaii.  Now they've had the last four days off to rest and prepare to get revenge on this Rainbow Warriors team.

Hawaii is just 2-3 SU in true road games this season.  That includes both of their Big West losses falling 83-73 at UC-San Diego as 2.5-point dogs and 77-62 at UCSB as 2.5-point favorites.  The Rainbow Warriors have notoriously been much worse on the mainland.  

UC-Irvine has gotten to 7-2 in conference play despite playing six of their first nine conference games on the road.  They are 3-0 SU & 2-1 ATS in Big West home games with all three wins coming by double-digits.  Bet UC-Irvine Thursday.

Cal Poly is the clear play here as a live dog against a Bakersfield team that has completely lost its way. The Roadrunners are currently mired in a four-game losing streak and have looked disjointed under interim leadership.

The biggest edge in this matchup is the massive gap in shooting efficiency from beyond the arc. Cal Poly is knocking down nearly 11 three-pointers per game, which is more than double what Bakersfield produces on a nightly basis.

The Roadrunners rank near the bottom of the Big West in three-point percentage, hitting at a dismal 29.5% clip. In a close game, you want the team that can create spacing and capitalize on open looks from the perimeter.

Bakersfield also struggles to generate easy offense, averaging just 72.5 points per contest. They rely heavily on Dailin Smith to carry the load, and if he isn't efficient, the entire offense stalls out.

Cal Poly has already shown they have the blueprint to beat this squad, winning the last two head-to-head meetings in 2025. They won both of those games by nine or more points, proving they can handle the physical style that Bakersfield tries to play.

The Mustangs are coming off a tough loss last Saturday, but they’ve had four full days to regroup and prepare for this trip. Bakersfield is also coming off a blowout loss at Hawaii and has failed to cover the spread in several straight home contests.

Bakersfield’s defense is allowing over 78 points per game, and they don't have the offensive firepower to keep up if this becomes a high-possession game. The Mustangs have the backcourt advantage and the better overall shooting metrics to pull the minor upset.

This is a play on the SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI GOLDEN EAGLES for our Thursday Free Play. The recent schedules set this one up great for the home team. Southern Mississippi went 6-6 with its nonconference schedule and after opening 5-1 in the Sun Belt Conference, the Golden Eagles have dropped their last four games. All four games were on the road however and this is the first home game since January 10th where they are 8-1, the lone loss coming against Sun Belt Conference contender Arkansas St. Their victories have been against mostly suspect teams but this situation is too good at this time. Meanwhile, Appalachian St. has won three of its last four games to improve to 6-4 in the conference and just the opposite of the Golden Eagles, the Mountaineers last four games have all been at home. They are a respectable 4-5 on the road but that only helps with the value in the line. Appalachian St. remains the worst free throw shooting team in the country as it is hitting only 61.6 percent and what looks to be a close game based on the number, this is deadly for the Mountaineers.
